Strategic Marketing Group (SMG)

was established in 1989, with the goal of producing high quality market research and comprehensive business plans. Since incorporation, our firm has been active in the Frederick County Builders Association, the Greater Western Maryland Sales & Marketing Council, and the Chamber of Commerce of Frederick County. In addition to our builder-developer expertise, we have assisted small businesses with market planning and extensive market research for larger businesses. All market research reports remain as proprietary information and have been used for management decisions.

Our expertise has continued to expand. For over 13 years we have published specialized market research newsletters: Frederick Area Planning + Development News (P+D News) for over a decade and Quad-State Development News (QSDN) for over three years. P+D News covers economic and residential development and detailed information on permits each month. QSDN covers current economic and residential development for ten counties in four states: Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia. This geographic area has a population of over two million people.

SMG also writes, edits, and electronically publishes the Frederick County Association of REALTORSŽ monthly newsletter.
